An Infinite Loop of Infinite Less Games

Sorry about the title. It really has less to do with this article than you may think. I have simply had a lot of programming jokes flying around and I had to throw it out there. But to get to the meat of this!

I finally have a Marut in the mail from the United Kingdom! I cant wait for this baby to get here as I have had my eyes on it for a while. I will be going with a very light blue and medium gray color scheme on this behemoth and using all the little tricks I have learned this summer. Its going to be a beast to tackle as the detail on the model is simply incredible.

This T.A.G is also being accompanied by a box of four Myrmidons, and with the addition I made of a Dasyus Hacker, and Sophotect a couple weeks ago my force seems to be rounding itself out The Asuras Spitfire midel and the Dakini HMG are soon to hit store shelves, for wich I am looking forward to as the only special weapon I currently have is a MULTI-Sniper rifle carried by a Nagas. While this Nagas has proven herself time and again, it would be good to have a torrent of fire to accompany it. I am also being tasked by the girlfriend to paint up her nomads for her. So far I have finished the Reverend Moira with HGM, and holf finished with a Sin-Eater Observant with MULTI-Sniper Rifle. Nomads have a lot of models though...all with little details. This could be a long project.

Thoughts on Warmahordes!

Warmachine has become a very well known name in the tabletop community. Beginning to get into the commercializing gig as much as GW they are quickly tallying up players to beat down with some magictech/steam powered/voodoo powered armies. Its a pretty crazy fast paced game. Hordes, its younger brother seems even more crazy, and they are both huge fun cause of this craziness...

A weekend of weekends!

Well, I had alot of fun this last weekend throwin down some Warmahordes, and kickin back at the annual Stony Point Refugees Game and Grill. A whole afternoon and evening of beer, grill, and games. Cant remember the last time I had so much fun. I also got my Circle of Orboros Warpwolf Stalker painted, and when I get my cameras battery replaced today, it will be time for pictures!

His little bro, the Warpwolf Feral has gotten a lot of attention, so I put some extra effort into the Stalker and I think its really shined.FTW Games will be running a warmahordes escalation tournament for a couple months and I hope to do well in that wilth my 16 point list.

Tier List of Armies Part 1

Well, I played League of LEgends a Great deal and now a lot of World of Tanks as well, and the idea occured to me to try putting together a tier list of current armies. This could work well as there is very little idealistic balance right now. you cant pick up any army and go against someone doing the same and win if you get stuck with a Necron Army, or Tau army versus a Ig, or Space Wolf army. So here is my thoughts on the tier order:

GW price hikes and me

I am not going to flame GW, I am not going to say, "How dare you evil corp!". Those have all been said. I like GW, I always have. But they are a business, and like all businesses they have to have money.

These price hikes recently though have pushed me from the game that I really dont want to be pushed from. For the forceable future I wil not be buying any of their products, simply because I cannot afford to. It's to expensive to buy as regularly as I need. I will be doing more of the specialist games, focusing on my Aleph for Infinity, and Circle for Hordes, and of course, I still have plenty of IG that need work done to them. I doubt that work will cease anywhere in the forceable future.

For now though, I have to start weening myself off it. I am sad to say that it is harder than it seems. Especialy with the new Dark Eldar scourges, had to get a friend to slap them out of my hands for me. So on to toher things for the time being! We shall see how long this stint lasts!

FTW Games B-Day bash

It was pretty cool for the time I was there. I wish I had been able to stay longer but complications arose and I needed to leave earlier than expected. I would have gotten pictures if my cameras battery wasnt screwing up. That made me a sad panda.

I really like FTW Game's and considerate the best game shop I know of currently. Its super friendly and has a massive selection and huge amount of gaming space. It's laid back and Rob, the owner, is a pretty cool guy. I'm really glad to see this shop grow into what it is and glad its able to work out in the current economy.

If your ever in the Richmond area, stop on by. Its in Midlothian at 13176 Midlothian Turnpike, about 5 minutes off 288, down Route 60.
